Holleyfest 2004 – Thursday through Saturday, point by point:  

  • Thursday, October 7, all day, beginning at 9:00am, meeting at Jim & JoAnn Collom’s hangar.
    Set-up assembly activities as required, everyone who can is encouraged and welcome to participate. Decision making for specific activities will be coordinated by:
     
    • Community Lunch Tent set-up: Bill Collom
    • Banquet set-up: HolleyMountaineers Women’s Guild, contact Judy Archer or JoAnn Collom
    • Grounds & Registration booth set-up: JoAnn Collom & Billy Linn
    • Automobile parking set-up: J.F. Williams
    • Digital Photo Contest: Cheryl Williams & Carolyn Marshall
    • Campfire and Litter Police: Clarence Phillips
    • Porta-Potties: Bill Collom & John Oakland
    • Hangar and audio/video set-up: Ken Sowers
    • Door Prize acquisition & display: Joe Marshall & Eric Archer

  • Friday, October 8, DAYTIME – Holleyfest fly-in / camp-out activities begin with scattered arrivals throughout the day.
    • Fly-in Pilot Registration (at plane): David Maier and Keith Wingad will (implement a process to) register pilots and planes as they arrive and track/tabulate registration information for awards.
    • Pilot Registration (at registration booth): VARIOUS VOLUNTEERS, see sign-up sheet.
    • Registration process: Registration forms (one page per registrant) from various sources (ie: online, onsite) are alphabetized and integrated to a 3-ring binder as they come in.
       
    • UNICOM during Holleyfest: Walt Petersen will ensure that someone is always available at the UNICOM during Holleyfest activity times before and/or after the Temporary Control Tower is operational.
       
    • Aircraft parking: Will Dawson and the crew from Dawson Aircraft will direct aircraft parking.
       
    • Vendor/exhibitor registration and booth assignment: Bill Collom
       
  • Friday, October 8, AFTERNOON & EVENING
     
    • Oversee Campsite set-up: Billy Linn (Camping is permitted through Monday. Extended camping may be possible by special arrangements with Jim & JoAnn Collom.)
       
    • Oversee Campfire set-up: Clarence Phillips
       
    • Entertainment: "Lost Creek Band,” Alan Rolen
       
    • Storytelling session: Jim Collom, Keith Wingad and Mac McFarlin will take the lead hosting the “tall tales around the campfire” storytelling session. Sid King of KGFL-KHPQ will tell the tale of the Damascus Missile Crisis.
       

FRIDAY

Evening program around the campfire begins with welcome announcement, acknowledgements of special guests and introductions of upcoming storytellers and entertainment

Lost Creek Band performs, alternating with storytellers and passing the hat for the band. Music concludes at (about) 10pm.
