Gastons (3M0). Gastons Sunday Brunch Buffet in mid Winter.

The airport is about 43nm to the north of Holley Mountain. It has a 3200ft grass strip and the restaurant is right on the field.
AOPA Flight Planner shows it NNW of the airpark. We'd be flying past Flippin and Valley airports just prior to our arrival.
The three of us climbed into Jim's 310 and we also had 5 others in a 182 and a Cardinal.
Looking back over the right engine of the 310 to the east it was still fairly early so the air was quite smooth.
Approaching Gastons the river snakes left and right.
On final you can clearly see that the field is next to the river. The airport is one way in and the opposite way out due to the rising terrain at the other end of the field.
After landing it's just a short stroll across the runway to the restaurant. They also have cabins here if you want to stay overnight or longer.
The restaurant has an excellent Sunday brunch buffet with a great selection to choose from including desserts. I think everyone enjoyed the food. As you can probably guess, this is not the first time we've been here. Gastons is a favorite stop.
The restaurant is filled with all sorts of old memorabilia, mostly hung from the ceiling and it sports a 180 degree view of the river.
There's always an interesting assortment of planes on the field.
Jim and JoAnn pose for a pic in front of the 310.
As I look over my shoulder on departure and snap this pic I can't wait to come back again. Maybe next Sunday.
