HOLLEY MOUNTAIN CHAPTER AR01

With all officers except Joe Marshall present, the regrets of several members noted and various other AR01 members in attendance, general conversation addressed the issue of establishing a quorum. A note from Jan Hoynacki, received just prior to the meeting, alerting us to the apparent default on payment of annual USPA AR01 dues by a number of members was discussed. In light of this information, it was decided among us that it was not realistically possible to make an accurate determination as to constituting a quorum, and thus no formal business would be conducted during this meeting. Thus the reading/approval of the Minutes of November 22, 2003 meeting and the Treasury report were bypassed.

It was agreed, however, that a personal note would be sent to all AR01 members whose dues have been reported to be in default, so as to confirm the accuracy of their intentions.

It was also agreed that it might behoove us to revisit the AR01 meeting schedule and propose changes to the dates previously adopted for the balance of 2004. This conversation evidenced a strong consensus to hold all future AR01 meetings on dates when Holleyfest Planners meetings are also being held, which would necessitate changing the date of only one previously scheduled AR01 meeting, from April 17 meeting to May 15, since our July 17 and November 23 meetings are already scheduled in this manner.

As to Holleyfest plans, the availability of a vendor or vendors to provide food service for Friday night, Saturday morning and Saturday lunch was discussed, and Jim is checking into one last detail before further plans are confirmed.

With all said and done, we feasted on pizza (it was delicious, JoAnn… thanks so very much for treating us) and (thanks to Linda and Carolyn) a bountifully decadent array of scrumptious desserts.

FYI: The next Holleyfest Planners meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March  20, to be an “Official Hangar Warming Party” at John & Carol Oakland’s place, and more info will be forthcoming about this, soon.
