Holley Mountain Airpark has it's own fire department, Official Arkansas Fire Academy I.D. Number 71017. ISO PPC Class 1.
HMAFD was recently awarded a Class 1 rating. We are 1 of only 55 fire departments in the whole country to have this rating. That's out of over 46700 departments! We are the only Class 1 fire department in Arkansas. For details on the Class 1 rating click the ISO logo above.

We are also equipped with a first class water supply. The Community Water System water tower adjacent to the airpark can hold up to 190,000 gallons. No residence is more than 500 feet from a hydrant and each hydrant is fitted with a 5" Storz quick coupling. This setup guarantees between 1000 and 2300 gallons per minute.

You're probably wondering what this all means to you. The answer is protection. Holley Mountain Airpark has the best fire protection of any airpark in the country. The real benefit to the property owner is insurance savings. Having the Class 1 fire department on the field means you will save about 70% on what you would normally expect to pay for your homeowners insurance if the fire department was standard rural Class 9 department or possibly even a Class 10 if a station is not within 5 miles.

Pump testing down by the lake.
On a yearly basis we test hoses, pumps and other equipment to make sure it's ready if we ever need it.
Firefighter I Structure Fire training.
We have a membership with the White River training facility in Batesville. Our training officer, Lee Threadgill, conducts the classes necessary to ensure that all of our volunteers are capable of performing their duties when required.
Our Volunteers.
The best asset that Holley Mountain Airpark Fire Department has is our volunteers. Presently we have over 30. They consist not only of Airpark residents but also of local neighbors. All of our members have the necessary Arkansas Fire Academy training. We are all radio equipped and can respond in minutes to any type of fire emergency whether it be a house, brush, aircraft or any other type of fire.
